I’ve seen Tommy perform live a few times but how could I ever forget his performance at the Bridgeway Hotel. Ok, granted it’s not the venue of choice however, my brother; Teerock, long time friend; Carlos and I were all fortunate enough to be up close and personal with this guitar maestro. An enormous catalogue of songs were played, but the stand-out was always going to be ‘Initiation’. A song about a young indigenous boy’s journey to manhood in Aboriginal Australia.

It’s hard to believe all the sounds one man can make on an electrified acoustic guitar. To witness this live is as most fans put it “an out of body experience”. The sounds Tommy makes on his “white man’s thunderstick” (as he refers to it) really take you to the initiation ceremony. Sit back, close your eyes, take it in and Tommy will take you there.
